St. Bonaventure

St. Bonaventure joined the Franciscan order at the age of 22 and became inimate friends with St. Thomas Aquinas, who together were declared doctors of the Church. He was elected general of his order, and helped to restore peace that had been disrupted by internal dissensions. Bonaventure died while he was assisting at the Second Council of Lyons. His feast day is celebrated on July 15th.
