St. Catherine Laboure

Catherine was born on May 2, 1806. At an early age, Catherine entered the community of the Daughthers of Charity. On July 18 of 1830, Catherine experienced her first vision of the Virgin Mary, who came to entrust to her the mission of the Miraculous Medal. The Virgin appeared to her 2 subsequent times, and eventually the Miraculous Medal image was approved and promoted for public devotion. St. Catherine's feast day is celebrated on November 25th.
