Saint Emily de Vialar managed her aristocratic father's house until the age of 35 while secretly living a life of celibacy and prayer. She eventually received a large inheritance from her grandfather which allowed her to found the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Apparition. The Sisters were devoted to helping the sick and missionary work. Saint Emily de Vialar used the inheritance money and donations to establish 40 houses during her lifetime throughout Europe, Africa, and Asia. St. Emily de Valiar's feast day is June 17th.
