Product Description

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives, and the one who seeks, finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." Matthew 7:7-8

Prayer is an essential tool for healing and is an excellent source of comfort, courage and strength for those who are suffering. During times of illness, disease or a life challenge, nothing is more important than to offer prayer and to join with others in assurance of these prayers.

In addition to prayer, the Saints protect us against harm, help strengthen our faith and offer spiritual guidance and healing. They are our models of prayer and their intercession helps present powerful prayers of healing to God on our behalf.

Our Patron Saints of Healing line offers hope and comfort to those who seek healing through the intercession of the Saints. Each holy card and medal set includes a high-quality prayer card that contains novena prayers specific to the affliction, a short biography of the patron saint and an oxidized silver patron saint medal.

Holy Card: Full-Color Cardstock 2 1/2" W x 4" H(closed)
Saint Medal: Oxidized Silver 1"

Includes a full-color holy card with two healing prayers, a saint biography and an oxidized silver patron saint medal.

Saint Gerard was born at Muro, Italy, in 1726 and joined the Redemptorists at the age of 23, becoming a professed lay brother in 1752. He was a model of obedience, an angel in purity, possessed extraordinary wisdom and mystical abilities such as powers of prophecy, healing, bilocation and the reading of consciences. He spent his life dedicated to helping the needy and the poor.

On one occasion, an expectant mother, fearing the loss of her baby, asked Gerard to pray for her. He graciously obliged and the mother delivered a healthy baby. Through many miraculous encounters, God worked wonders through Saint Gerard.

He died in 1755 and was canonized in 1904.

Saint Gerard is recognized today as the patron of expectant mothers and of safe delivery of children at birth. His feast day is October 16th.

Saint Gerard, Pray for Us.

Card features two lovely prayers to this patron saint, and a short biography on the back. The card has a nice finish and hopefully will stand up to a lot of wear. This was a gift for my sister- her son was born at 22 weeks! It's 3 months later now and praise God, he's doing well!

I carried a St. Gerard prayer card and medal throughout my pregnancy and ended up losing it shortly after delivery - it was in my hospital gown :( Hopefully someone found it and kept it. I also sent a prayer card and medal to close friends who are expecting.
