St. Gregory

Saint Gregory the Great is the patron of Popes, masons, choir boys, singers, teachers, and musicians. After being prefect of Rome, he sold all of his possessions and converted his home into a Benedictine monastery. Saint Gregory used his liquidated assets to build six monasteries and was the first monk to become Pope. He was one of the four great Doctors of the Latin Church and collected the Gregorian Chants. St. Gregory the Great's feast day is September 3rd.
