    Pros: Listed Special Features; Ribbon bookmark; Introductions; Cross References; Index Sunday Readings; 30 maps located accrdngly; Lightweight; Colorful illustrations; Small enuf to carry arnd; Informative QA; Footnotes; 8 Colorful Map inserts;
    Cons: Small footnotes font; Small cross ref font;
    Best Uses: Travel Reading; Reference;
    Describe Yourself: Everyday Reader;
    Bottom Line:
    This is one of the best small size Catholic bible I've seen so far, with all its listed Special Features and its handiness. The introduction, footnotes, cross references, maps (that are located in the related chapters) helps a lot. And the illustrations add a nice touch. It also has a short chart of biblical chronology, liturgical index of Sunday readings, Vatican II Constitution of Divine Revelation, 30 informative Questions and Answers about the Bible and Catholic life, gold page edges, ribbon bookmark and a gift box. Bible size is about 5 inches x 7 inches x 1.5 inches. For a book this small, it offers so much! Because of the small size though, the font size of the footnotes and cross references are compromised (smaller). They are still readable but better with a magnifier. I use a magnifier bookmark without any trouble. This book is highly recommendable for someone who wants to always carry it around.

    Cons: Difficult To Follow;
    Best Uses: Older Readers;
    Describe Yourself: Everyday Reader;
    Bottom Line:
    I was not familiar with the St. Joseph edition. The interpretation is not as updated as I would have liked for my 13 and 15 year olds (or even myself). They would not have gotten a good understanding of the meaning of the text. Also, the pages are extremely thin and transparent. I bought three to give as gifts but had to return them.
