St. Madeline Sophie Barat

Saint Madeline Sophia Barat had always wanted to be a Carmelite lay sister. However, she instead founded, with three other postulants, the Society of the Sacred Heart. This society was dedicated to teaching young girls and before Saint Madeline Sophia Barat's death, they had founded 105 houses in many countries. St. Madeline Sophia Barat's feast day is May 25th.
