St. Michael was a gift for my son for Christmas. St. Michael is his patron saint and I wanted a medal that was as unique as he is. It is very unusual in that it has a more antique look to it that makes it distinctive and sets it apart.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
I would have kept this article, but as a 6'1" tall man it was a little too small for me. I wish the Catholic company would come out with a bigger version, at minimum 2" high, and ideally in gold or even gold-plated. I've ordered a number of items from the Catholic Company and was always more than satisfied with the items I've purchased.
