Saint Petronile is the patron of dauphins of France, mountain travelers, and treaties between Popes and Frankish emperors. She was in some way related to Saint Peter, legends claim she may have been either his daughter, servant, convert, or co-worker. Saint Petronile was cured of palsy by Saint Peter. She is remembered for having refused the marriage of a pagan king named Flaccus and suffering martyrdom for her unswerving faith. St. Petronile's feast day is May 31st.
