St. Placidus
Saint Placidus was a disciple and student of Saint Benedict of Nursia. He is well-known for having been saved from drowning by Saint Maurus whom appeared as Saint Bendict of Nursia at the time. Saint Gregory the Great writes numerous accounts of St. Placidus which quickly develop into legend. St. Placidus' feast day is January 15th.
