St. Rose Philippine
Saint Rose Philippine is the patron of opposition of Church authorities and the diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She joined the Visitation nuns in France at the age of 19. During the Reign of Terror, St. Rose Philippine provided care for the sick, hid priests from Revolutionaries, and established a school for poor children. She also helped form the first free school west of the Mississippi River. St. Rose Philippine's feast day is November 18th.
