Product Description

The Stations of the Cross for the Elderly brings the infinite power of prayer to bear on the loneliness and suffering of our aging loved ones, presenting hope as they face the narrowing of their days in this world and contemplate what's ahead in the next.

This beautiful meditation unites readers with Jesus, engaging them in an intimate discussion of the indignities, pain, and heartache Our Lord endured as He bore His cross, recognizing the similar crosses the elderly so often have to endure.

At each station, Jesus speaks to our hearts about the trials He encountered on that sorrowful walk. At each we respond, gaining courage and comfort from His greater sacrifice and His ultimate glory.

As the elderly identify with the pain voiced in the meditations, they will find peace in the power of praying the Passion, and the strength of Our Lord as He helps shoulder their cross.

I cry everytime that I read this book. It speaks to me in ways that no one can do. It makes me feel the pain He felt by having me reflect on my own pain and the changes taking place as I get older.
