Sterling silver Irish blessings book pendant, this pendant opens up like a book. Inside there are four "pages" with the "May the road rise" blessing inside. Handcrafted in Ireland and comes nicely gift-boxed.

The blessing reads:

"May the road rise to meet you, may the wind always be at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face,
the rains soft upon your fields, and until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand."

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
The necklace is in the form of a book that, once opened, has the inscription, "May the road rise to meet you...". I know that many people find inspiration in this poem, so having it in a wearable/jewelry form is something to consider having. I love it and wore it out for Christmas dinner and received many compliments as well as amazement that the "book" is able to hold the poem. I also had people tell me why they love the poem itself. Afew asked where I bought it, too.
