Bottom Line:	I was shocked when I realized that there was no clasp to open the chain. I purchased as a gift for my son in law to wear on deployment and he couldn't get it over his head! My daughter took it to the jeweler and had a clasp added at extra expense. Other than that it was beautiful!

Bottom Line:	Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. The medal and chain are both beautifully constructed even though my husband will not be using the chain. We have had it blessed and he will be wearing it around his dog tags during his deployment to Afghanistan. It was worth every penny for the high quality product we received!
