Bottom Line:	Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. I got this for my little brother for his confirmation. The bishop blessed it during the ceremony. I looked around online for the best, most durable, and lowest priced Kolbe medal and this was the best option in my opinion. My brother (age 14) loves it and wears it all the time, and the stainless steel chain is durable enough to withstand his active lifestyle. The smallest thing I would change about it is I can't tell who is behind St. Kolbe in the picture--I think it's a jailer but I think the Blessed Mother would be more appropriate considering his devotion to her. I was very pleased with this purchase. In addition to this medal, I would suggest the book "Forget Not Love: The Passion of Maximilian Kolbe" by Frossard and endorsed by JPII.
