Product Description

From the Horizons of Faith Collection. This exquisite lantern features images taken from the stained glass windows in the monastic Church of Our Lady of Einsiedeln at Saint Meinrad Archabbey. When lit, the lantern's images glow with color and vibrancy. The lantern is made of four panels of glass that fit in a black metal base; the glass "shade" is removable. An included 2 x 6 1/2" gift card features the stained glass design on one side; the other side references the inspiration for the lantern and explains the meaning of the window designs. Gift packaged. Votive candle included. 4 1/8" x 11" x 4 1/8".

The Horizons of Faith Collection features gift and devotional items developed by the monks of Saint Meinrad Archabbey. They are shaped by traditional artistic and spiritual values, they celebrate the Christian faith through the use of authentic materials and simple, elegant design. Mindful of the role that art plays in the Christian tradition, these products are intended to enhance and inform faith and devotion.

Candle does not light up windows. Try using a standard votive candle.

A great memory of St. Meinad 3.00 out of 5

By: Ann (Central Illinois, January 22, 2009)
Bottom Line:
This was purchased as a gift for a special friend who had been to St, Meinrad and had been impressed with the stain glass windows. The little candle that comes with it is not bright enough to luminate the glass windows. He had concern about putting a larger candle inside the light.
