St. John Henry Newman

St. John Henry Newman was originally an Anglican priest. Over time he became increasing more influenced by Catholic writers and began to write more and more in line with the Catholic Church. Blessed John Henry Newman was ordained a priest in the Catholic Church in 1846 and spent the remaining 40 years of his life in England. He is remembered for his influential writings on theology and philosophy as well as his founding of the London Oratory. Saint John Henry Newman's feast day is October 9th.
