Katalin Szegedi is a native of Hungary where she continues to create illustrations for children’s books. She is the recipient of many awards for her illustrations including the 2004 Hungarian Illustrator of the Year award and the Hungarian equivalent to the Caldecott Medal in 2003. She is the illustrator for Ambrose and the Princess published by Liturgical Press.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
My sons are 11 and 13 and the book caught their attention and opened up the dialogue about something so important as the Eucharist and the Mass. The notes was most helpful to parents because the story is rich in symbolism! Awesome and inspiring!
