This petite, hand carved Nativity Grotto Ornament is hewn from a slice of olive wood, and crafted by a fourth generation master wood carver in Bethlehem. The three-dimensional Nativity scene carved within the olive branch features the Holy Family adoring the Newborn King beneath the Christmas star. It hangs on golden thread. A remarkable and meaningful Holy Land keepsake, it deserves a special place on the tree and makes a great gift.
Trees are never cut down for the wood used in these ornaments. Olive branches pruned in the growing process are used with care in selecting, drying, and carving. Small cracks, imperfections and grain variation are part of the natural appearance.
