This two-toned design chalice and paten set features an oxidized calyx showing the 12 Apostles and on the stem of the cup images depicting the 4 evangelists. The significant gold node on the stem is strategically placed to make the cup easy to hold. The footed bowl paten also features a similar 12 apostle design on the bottom side of the paten.The chalice is sacred vessel used to hold the wine/precious blood. Accompanying paten holds the host/Holy Eucharist and makes a set. Matching ciborium, used to hold the Holy Eucharist, sold separately.
