The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius
  • The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius
  • Renowned spiritual masterpiece
  • Should be owned by every Catholic
  • Practical and clear

The Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola outline the rigorous self-examination and spiritual meditations he set forth. Readers will learn how to make a new beginning on the path to holiness, repenting of their sins and attaining freedom from Satan's power.

Though Saint Ignatius wrote The Spiritual Exercises as a handbook for a four week guided retreat, this edition contains step by step explanations suitable for independent use over any time period.

    A great work-out

This book is a Spiritual Swiss Army Knife. It has so many tools, guides, prayers, reflections, and commentaries on the texts of St. Ignatius...you can be sure that one or two (or more!) of those questions, practices, or regimens will be just what you needed.

It is very slow and steady in its pacing, mainly designed for a spiritual retreat, but offers good training and reading regardless.

A whole lot of food for thought...and growth!

This book takes time and effort! I may never finish the book because if you take the time to read, or reread at a later time, and look inside yourself the growth may never end. Keep it on hand!

Yes, faith does matter. This book and many others that I've bought from The Catholic Company have served to strengthen that faith. When I think I have overloaded and need to finish the stack you come with another one that I MUST have. I appreciate you being there for us.
