St. Edward the Confessor

Saint Edward the Confessor is the patron of kings, difficult marriages, and the English royal family. He was educated in Hungary but of English royal blood and came to take the thrown of England in 1042. Saint Edward the Confessor thwarted invasions, ended unjust taxes, and was profoundly generous to the poor during his reign as King. He married to satisfy the wants of the public but his wife remained chaste. Many claim that he had the power to heal by touch. St. Edward the Confessor's body is incorruptible and his feast day is October 13th.
