St. Matthias the Apostle

Saint Matthias the Apostle is the patron of carpenters, tailors, and reformed alcoholics. He was the apostle chosen to replace Judas Iscariot. Saint Matthias the Apostle devoted himself to preaching all over Judea and Ethiopia for over 30 years. He typically preached for the need of mortification of the flesh and was martyred. St. Matthias the Apostle's feast day is May 14th.
