St. Thomas Becket

Saint Thomas Becket is the patron of clergy and Portsmouth, England. He was lawyer, soldier, officer, archdeacon, and lastly an archbishop of Canterbury. He is remembered for having opposed the King on ecclesiastical matters which the King had attempted to interfere in. These actions resulted in Saint Thomas Becket being exiled on multiple occasions and martyred. St. Thomas Becket's feast day is December 29th.
