7-Decade Franciscan Rosary with St. Francis medal and wooden beads.
The Franciscan Crown, or "Rosary of the Seven Joys of the Blessed Virgin Mary" -- also known as the "Seraphic Rosary" -- is a 7-decade Rosary that focuses on the 7 Joys of Mary. It's an ancient Franciscan sacramental that has its origins in A.D. 1422. It originally consisted of one Our Father and 10 Hail Mary in honor of each of her Seven Joys -- the Annunciation; Visitation; Nativity; Adoration of the Magi; Finding Jesus in the Temple; Resurrection; and Assumption and Coronation of the Virgin.
Seven decades of 10 Hail Marys equal 70 Hail Marys, but two more were later added to make the total equal to seventy-two, the number of years that Our Lady is said to have lived on earth.
One may also add a Pater, Ave, and Gloria at the very end for the intentions of the Holy Father.

|Review:||The 7-decade extra length is a feature I enjoy, and I use it for both the Franciscan and standard Rosary. Best Uses: 5 or 7 Decade Rosary; Cons: Sharp links on medallion; Pros: Franciscan Crucifix, Made in Italy, St Francis medal, Sturdy Construction, Wooden Beads|

|Review:||Beautiful chaplet, well made, comfortable to use. Well-sized beads. I have another Franciscan Crown chaplet that is larger, with a rather stiff cord linkage that tends to bind. This chaplet, with wire connectors, doesn't bind. It's also easier to feel the spacing for the Ave.. beads on this chaplet. I'd recommend this chaplet for anyone wanting to pray the 7 Joys. Best Uses: Seven Joys prayer; Cons: none; Pros: Beautiful, Carefully made, Comfortable to use|

|Review:||I use it as a rosary l love the imagery on it and the wooden beads. The San Damiano cross is the same as the one hanging in my church. I have an affinity for St Francis. Nothing bad, no complaints. Pros: Beautiful|
