Pope Saint Eugene I
Pope Saint Eugene I was elected the 75th pope in 654. He is remembered for having opposed the heretical Monothelite Byzantine emperor which resulted in numerous threats against his life. The threats turned out to be empty as he was never harmed. Pope Saint Eugene I consecrated over 20 bishops while serving as Pope. Pope St. Eugene's feast day is June 2nd.
