Ignatius Catholic Study New Testament

Review: I'm currently facilitating a study of Revelation in our parish. This Study Bible adds a wealth of background information and insight through the footnotes. If one hopes to grow through scripture study, this would be a wonderful aid.

St. Ignatius Catholic Study Bible

Review: This is a fantastic book! Scott Hahn and Curtis Mitch wrote wonderful commentaries and they are immensely helpful in my journey. However, they need to get busy and do the same with the O.T. I have purchased several books of the OT but they are separate. I would love to see the entire OT printed in one book just like the NT. Great book!

Ignatius Catholic Study Bible

Review: I received the Bible brand new as promised with the most crisp edges! I'm about to buy another one for a gift for a friend! God bless!

Absolutely Beautiful!

Review: The Ignatius Catholic Study Bible I received as a gift has really made my Christmas even that much more special. I can't even begin to express how very much it means to me except to say that I feel so blessed this Christmas.

Comprehensive study bible

Review: We are currently in a Catholic bible study on the Psalms by Jeff Cavins. This is a fantastic supplement to his already inspiring information. One more time, Dr. Scott Hahn has done a wonderful job of presenting the scriptures in a refreshing style. God Bless Best Uses: Study Guide; Pros: Comprehensive, Informative, inspirational

Ignatius New Testament

Review: The leather cover is beautiful but I have trouble holding a heavy, flexible book. I would have done better with the hard cover I think. I like the size of the print and the study notes are very good. Cons: Cover too flexible, Large volume and heavy; Pros: Wonderful study notes

Best purchase ever!

Review: The print, page size, paper quality and layout of the notes and comments contribute to its excellence. It is scholarly content and intelligible in presentation. Beautiful work nicely priced.

A great New Testament

Review: Every Catholic home should have one of these. Best Uses: Studying the New Testamen; Pros: 2 ribbon markers, Catechism is reffered to, Excellent study aids, Good translation, Informative foot notes, Quality Paper, Quotes from Saints, True to church teachings

Excellent Study Bible

Review: I am using this Bible for Pastor-directed, as well as self-guided, study. I have approximately a dozen Bibles, and this one is definitely the best in that the annotations answer many questions that would otherwise require extraneous research. The explanations are logical, easy to follow and in a print size that doesn't strain the eyes. The annotations, of course, do not answer all questions, as e.g., I found no discussion of the difference between the Nativity accounts of Matthew and Luke and how one can reconcile the Holy Family's trip to Egypt with the presentation of Jesus at the Temple in Jerusalem after the 40 days of Mary's confinement. This is a minor criticism as all matters cannot be covered in limited space. I plan to give copies of this Bible as Christmas gifts to special people. Obviously, I am well pleased with it. Best Uses: Excellent for all uses; Cons: Some Issues Not Covered; Pros: Great Introductions, Logical Easy-to-Follow, Most Thorough Annotations

Excellent Study Bible

Review: Excellent breakout of information and comments to help further understand the Gospels!

Ignatius Study Bible

Review: I don't think a study Bible could be any better.Notes and commentary were excellent. Print size and binding were very good. Excellent for personal and group study. Outstanding, in my mind, in all respects.[...]Richard Hill

A great study Bible!

Review: Bigger print so it's easier to read and the generous notes and references make the readings more meaningful.

The Ignatius New Testament Study Bible

Review: This book is one of the best I have ever seen. Its attractive blue leather cover is wonderful. I like the larger than usual Bible size, and the printed page is easy to read. The footnotes provide valuable information as usual. The history provided at the beginning of each book provides valuable information that allows me to be more in touch with the period of the writing and other information that usually is absent in the other copies of the Ignatius Bible and New Testament which I bought. I also appreciate the ribbon markers that are part of this edition. The Ignatius Bible is my favorite, and the study edition allows personal or group study to be more complete.

Beautiful leather[...]

Review: Easy to read and soft cover

This is the best study bible period

Review: I use the study Bible in discussions with the Secular Franciscn Order meetings focusing on the understanding of the Bibles message as it applies to our life. Franciscan focus on Scripture to life and life to scripture. Best Uses: Better understanding; Pros: Commentary Introduction, Concordance, Index of doctrines

Exceeds Expectations!

Review: The print in this bible is larger than that of the individual paperback booklets that have been published over the years. I got the hardcover edition, just because I do a lot of highlighting, and it's easier with hard-covered books. This is sure to become the standard-bearer of Catholic study bibles. It's outstanding! Best Uses: Apologetics, For understanding Word, General Bible study, Individual or group; Cons: Binding may wear out, No tabs, NT only, Some sans-serif fonts; Pros: A scriptural masterpiece, Easy to navigate, Great map section, Meticulously concised, Painstakingly detailed, Unbelievably explained
