The leather cover is beautiful but I have trouble holding a heavy, flexible book. I would have done better with the hard cover I think. I like the size of the print and the study notes are very good. |

We are currently in a Catholic bible study on the Psalms by Jeff Cavins. This is a fantastic supplement to his already inspiring information. One more time, Dr. Scott Hahn has done a wonderful job of presenting the scriptures in a refreshing style. God Bless |

| Pros: | Logical Easy-to-Follow; Great Introductions; Most Thorough Annotations; |
| Cons: | Some Issues Not Covered; |
| Best Uses: | Excellent for all uses; |
| Bottom Line: |

I am using this Bible for Pastor-directed, as well as self-guided, study. I have approximately a dozen Bibles, and this one is definitely the best in that the annotations answer many questions that would otherwise require extraneous research. The explanations are logical, easy to follow and in a print size that doesn't strain the eyes. The annotations, of course, do not answer all questions, as e.g., I found no discussion of the difference between the Nativity accounts of Matthew and Luke and how one can reconcile the Holy Family's trip to Egypt with the presentation of Jesus at the Temple in Jerusalem after the 40 days of Mary's confinement. This is a minor criticism as all matters cannot be covered in limited space. I plan to give copies of this Bible as Christmas gifts to special people. Obviously, I am well pleased with it. |

This book is one of the best I have ever seen. Its attractive blue leather cover is wonderful. I like the larger than usual Bible size, and the printed page is easy to read. The footnotes provide valuable information as usual. The history provided at the beginning of each book provides valuable information that allows me to be more in touch with the period of the writing and other information that usually is absent in the other copies of the Ignatius Bible and New Testament which I bought. I also appreciate the ribbon markers that are part of this edition. The Ignatius Bible is my favorite, and the study edition allows personal or group study to be more complete. |
