St. Anne
St. Anne, or Ann is the mother of Mary. There is not much history passed down concerning the life of St. Ann. It is speculated that St. Ann lived a simple life of poverty and purity as an Essene. St. Ann was visited by an Angel, who announced that she would give birth to Mary the Mother of God despite being sterile. The supposed relics of St. Ann were brought from the Holy Land to Constantinople in 710. St. Ann is the patronness of housekeepers and mothers. Her feast day is celebrated on July 26th.
