St. Jerome
Saint Jerome is the patron of libraries, archeologists, students, and translators. He lived many years as a desert hermit before spending thirty years on writing the Latin translation of the Bible known as the Vulgate. After that major accomplishment, Saint Jerome became a recluse of sorts in Jerusalem as he worked on histories and biographies. He is a Father and Doctor of the Church. Saint Jerome's feast day is September 30th.
