Saint Sebastian is the patron of archers, armorers, ironmongers, police officers, and soldiers. Saint Sebastian was an officer of the Imperial Roman Army and comforted those Christians persecuted by Diocletian during his reign. He is remembered for being tied to a tree and shot with arrows for being a Christian. By the grace of God he survived this attack and continued to preach to Diocletian. Diocletian then had him beaten to death. Saint Sebastian’s feast day is January 20th.
