DIRECTOR OF IT, E-COMMERCE

The Catholic Company, the nation's leading Catholic retailer and the operator of CatholicCompany.com, Rosary.com, GoodCatholic.com, and the MorningOffering.com, seeks a Director of IT who will be responsible for developing, integrating, and managing best-in-class e-commerce websites. Our team is passionate about their work and take it seriously, but maintain a healthy perspective and enjoy what they do.

The primary responsibilities of this position include creating and maintaining web solutions, working with other departments to produce reports and apps, and resolving mission-critical technology issues in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. The programming environment includes C#, Java, ColdFusion, PHP, JavaScript, and SQL and will be transitioning to a SaaS environment in 2020 to include application such as NetSuite, BigCommerce, others. This role requires strong creativity, problem solving, and communication skills. Self-motivation and project management skills are necessary, as this role will work both independently and with a team.

The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and has direct supervisory responsibility for a team of approximately 2-3 IT professionals. This position will interact regularly with all levels of the organization for technical, financial, and business solutions delivery discussions. This position will also manage the relationships with key vendors of software, hardware, and consulting services. This role is based in Charlotte, NC. Remote employment will not be considered.

Things you will be working on:
• Build a world-class IT team who works together well and partners across the organization to
drive strong business results
• Work with management to identify, define, and prioritize IT investments required to meet the
strategic objectives of the company
• Assist in the assessment, selection, and implementation of various software solutions such as
warehouse management software, learning management platforms, content solutions applications, and integrations with third party systems/ERPs.
• Manage the strategic and tactical project plans of the team, setting schedules, resource assignments, and reporting status
• Ensure proper application of the IT project lifecycle
• Manage the activities and development of team members, working with them to set key
performance measures, identifying professional development goals, and set priorities
• Work with external IT leaders and teams to ensure proper application of technologies, integration, and use of resources

Skills that will be important in this role:

• Experience supporting proprietary software applications
• Thorough product knowledge of SaaS solutions, their third-party extensions, and other applications in eCommerce eco-system.

Qualifications we are looking for:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or proven competency is required
• 5+ years' experience in software development and/or application integration is required
• 3+ years' experience in managing and leading software development teams required
• 3+ years' retail experience in a multi-channel environment required
• Current knowledge of web and e-commerce technologies required
• Experience with SQL Server required
• Ability to challenge Catholic Company's internal processes (IT and Business) and articulate the value of proposed changes with an insight in to emerging technologies, practices, issues, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with: user experience, API integration, and software architecture
• Familiarity with BigCommerce and NetSuite a plus

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN - FULL TIME, SEASONAL

Description: Hiring Immediately. Duties include personalizing gifts with a variety of equipment including embroidery, engraving, sandblasting, laser engraving, foil imprinting, desktop publishing, and direct-to-garment printing. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw a plus. Positions will average 30-40 hours per week. Shift hours may vary between 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
