About Us

Our names are James and Whitney Hetzel, and we created The Catholic Company to serve families just like yours and ours. As co-founders with our dear friends the Gallaghers, we are passionate about helping ordinary Catholics live extraordinary lives of faith. With nine children and four grandchildren (and four more on the way!), we’re a big Catholic family behind a small family business…and a big Catholic store. We started the Catholic Company out of a desire to provide inspiring, faith-filled items to Catholic families like ours. This was back in 2001, when a new-fangled invention called the "internet" was just a space-age phenomenon with an uncertain future. And the rest is history but we are so excited about this upcoming chapter, and so grateful for your continued support.

Launched the week after the horrific events of September 11th, 2001, The Catholic Company has been our response to the world's pain, tragedy, isolation and emptiness. It was our belief then, and remains our belief now, that the answer to all of our world's problems is a deeper relationship with Our Lord and specifically with His Catholic Church.
