This striking rosary has been designed to encourage prayer for the souls in Purgatory, inspired by a mystical vision of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich in which she saw suffering souls move from dark to light as she prayed fervently for them. Signifying the purification of the souls of the faithful departed, who are very dear to God, the colors of the rosary beads lighten from black to grey to white. The crucifix is very unique: it depicts Jesus on the cross with the Blessed Mother at His side, holding up a chalice to receive His precious blood. The centerpiece has an image of Our Lady on one side and the Divine Mercy on the other. The month of November is especially given to prayer for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, and their feast is November 2nd.
