As a cradle Catholic who was well catechized by his parents, this book has been enlightening and rejuvenating for me. This book is ultra-critical in today's climate where there are so many poorly catechized who don't "get" the significance of The Mass. This could be a great book in helping to keep people Catholic by getting the most out of our weekly celebration.

This should be required reading for every cradle Catholic. It breaks the Mass down into small bits and explains the WHY the Mass is celebrated the way it is. If everyone understood exactly what was going on during the Mass, there should would be A LOT more excitement and sense of anticipation!!! After all, it is the real Presence of our Lord! Great Book!

The only thing that keeps me from giving this book 5 stars is that it says on the back of the cover something about how to confess your sins, which I took to mean actual confession. Instead, what is covered in the book is the penitential rite during mass. However, this is only a small detail, and the subject of confession had no bearing on my buying the book. Otherwise an excellent book on the mass! Best Uses: Gift, Reference; Describe Yourself: Bookworm; Pros: Deserves Multiple Readings, Easy To Read, Informative, Well Written
