It's a lovely image of Mary but this shouldn't be billed as an outdoor statue. It's too lightweight to withstand any type of wind whatsoever. It can be easily knocked over by a breeze. Fine for indoors or somewhere where it's completely protected from the elements.

It's very beautiful. I chose a spot in my front yard rock garden under the shade of a large pink rhododendron bush and flanked by lavenders to showcase the Madonna & Child. I was surprised though to read a notice on the bottom of the statue that recommends you spray it with a clear coat sealant in order to preserve the appearance of the statue when displayed outdoors. The recommendation also informs you that the sealant should be reapplied yearly.
