This wonderful Sacred Heart accent lamp is an example of a lost art form originating in the mid-19th Century known as the lithophane. After a finely detailed wax mold is expertly carved, porcelain is poured in carefully, and fired painstakingly to make the lithophane.
Light refracted through varying thickness in the porcelain achieves an evocative and lovely artistic image. When backlit by a bulb, the work of art becomes a distinctive way to lend a soft, warm glow to your sacred spaces.

Made by a self-taught artisan in the USA with over thirty years of experience, the antique bronze finished Victorian style accent lamp features a candle cup in back to hold a raised chandelier bulb. The cord is 6' long, allowing for easy placement in your favorite space. Plugs into a standard outlet. Bright 25 watt bulb included. Perfect accent for your sacred space and a special gift of faith.
