Are you proudly Catholic and proudly American? We are!

Catholics should never be ashamed of their faith, and neither should we hesitate to acknowledge the freedoms that have allowed the Church to grow in America.

A Family Of Saints

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, many people are reflecting on the history of our nation and the people who helped shape it.

Catholics should be part of that conversation.

For generations, Catholics helped build schools, hospitals, churches, charities, and communities across this country, often while facing suspicion and hardship themselves. Immigrant families carried the faith here through sacrifice and perseverance. Missionaries crossed dangerous territories to proclaim the Gospel. Religious sisters educated children and cared for the poor. Priests ministered on battlefields, in cities, in rural settlements, and everywhere in between.

And among them were saints.

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. Saint John Neumann. Saint Katharine Drexel. Saint Junípero Serra. The North American Martyrs. Blessed Michael McGivney. Servant of God Dorothy Day. The history of Catholicism in America is filled with men and women who loved both God and neighbor with extraordinary courage.

That is part of what makes the American Saints 250th Commemorative T-shirt so meaningful.

The coffee tin can be reused and features a striking map of the United States filled with the names of holy men and women whose lives left a lasting mark on both the Church and the nation itself. The design feels energetic, joyful, and distinctly American while remaining deeply Catholic.

And honestly, it is just a very cool way to store coffee!

At a time when patriotism can sometimes feel politicized or divisive, it is refreshing to remember that Catholics can love their country without placing it above God. The saints show us how to do that well. They served the people around them faithfully while always remembering that their ultimate home was heaven.

Catholics should never be ashamed of their faith, and neither should we hesitate to acknowledge the freedoms that have allowed the Church to grow in America. Gratitude for country and devotion to Christ do not have to compete with one another.

In fact, the saints often show us how rightly ordered love of God helps people become better citizens, more generous neighbors, and more courageous servants of others.

As we prepare to commemorate 250 years of American history, this American Saints Medium Roast Coffee in 250th Anniversary Commemorative Can is a joyful reminder that the Catholic story is enmeshed in the American story.  Makes a great gift!
