This 8x10 print recreates the classic art piece "The Entombment of Christ" by Caravaggio, a painting completed in 1604 for The Oratory of St. Philip Neri in Rome. It depicts Nicodemus and John the Evangelist laying the body of Christ in His tomb, while the Blessed Mother looks on mournfully with other weeping women. Different from the other women, Our Lady embraces her sorrow by quietly reaching for Her Son, teaching us to keep our eyes on the Lord in the midst of our own suffering. Displayed in a lovely gold frame, this breathtaking piece provides wondrous decor for a home or chapel.
