It depicts Nicodemus and John the Evangelist laying the body of Christ in His tomb, while the Blessed Mother looks on mournfully with other weeping women. Different from the other women, Our Lady embraces her sorrow by quietly reaching for Her Son, teaching us to keep our eyes on the Lord in the midst of our own suffering.
