Anima Christi Tarjeta - Espanol

Anima Christi (latín; en español: "Alma de Cristo") es una oración devocional muy conocida en la Iglesia Católica. Su origen se remonta a la primera mitad del siglo catorce y se enriqueció por las indulgencias otorgadas por el Papa Juan XXII  en el año 1330.  Su autor es desconocido y quizás fue escrita por el mismo Papa Juan XXII. Existe la creencia general de que fue escrita por San Ignacio de Loyola, ya que la incluyó al principio de su escrito "Ejercicios Espirituales" y la recomendaba constantemente. Sin embargo, se sabe que no es cierto ya que se ha encontrado en varios manuscritos, algunos escritos antes del nacimiento del santo.

En el presente continua siendo una oración muy utilizada para después de recibir el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo en la Sagrada Comunión.
