A desire to serve
"For starters, this book has really cute and colorful illustrations which are sure to keep the kids engaged. As the title suggests, the story follows Arthur who wants to be an altar server but he is afraid he won't be allowed because he is very clumsy. In the end, he learns that what matters most is that he has been given the desire to serve. This story sends a powerful message to children. . . that God does not call the equipped, he equips the called. It also teaches children that we don't need to be perfect in order to serve God but rather, we can serve Him just as we are. . . and that is a beautiful thing. My 3, 5, and 8 year old children all enjoyed this book."
