Growing up I never saw

"Growing up I never saw much use for the Catechism. ""Why do I need a book to help me understand my faith? Isn't that what going to Mass and religions education are for?"" How wrong I was. The Catechism works not as an instruction manual but as a guide and explanation for our faith. Many questions and struggles I had with my faith, especially in my teen and young adult years, could have been resolved by me simply picking this thing up and making an honest effort at reading it. In my personal opinion if you want to know and understand GOD you read the Bible. If you want to know and understand the Catholic church and faith you read the Catechism. Simple as that."
