Would this book be appropriate for a 7th or 8th grader?
Thank you. What a great question. This book is generally for kids who are high school age but depending on the maturity of our child it might be just right. There are a wide variety of prayer books out there for young children, there are many for high schoolers and teens who are dealing with more complicated life issues, and there are fewer for those "in the middle" because some of them may not be mature enough to be exposed to some teen topics on morality that are included in some prayer books. We understand it's a challenge. This book was created originally to be used by students and staff at Notre Dame and the prayers are more general in nature such as acts of faith, hope and love, morning prayer, prayer before tests, prayers about the future, prayers in time of praise, psalms, the St. Patrick's Breastplate Prayer, etc. Depending on your child's maturity it could be suitable for an 8th grader. It is a popular gift for graduation and confirmation. We hope this helps.
