The title Our Lady of the Atonement comes from a devotion begun at the beginning of the 20th century. The focus: Mary at the foot of the Cross, where Christ made her the mother of all humanity, emphasizing her work for unity and her intercession on behalf of all people with God, in Christ. In the image, she presents to us the Christ Child, with a cross in His right hand.

"Recently the Catholic Company ran a sort of promotion where for a short time, they'd add Rosaries to a few lucky folks' orders. I turned out to be one of them! I'm really happy with the Rosary, it's easy to pray with and looks really nice too. It has a similar color scheme to the Sacred Heart / Immaculate Heart Rosary they sell here, which I've had my eye on. The great beads are of a noticeably larger size and well separated from the decade beads, so you aren't likely to lose track of what prayer you're on when praying with your eyes closed. It has a nice weight to it, and feels sturdy enough. This rosary will be a great blessing to me, and I look forward to reading up on Our Lady of Atonement."
