This exclusive glass Christmas ornament on a festive red satin ribbon, features the beloved painting known as Star of Bethlehem, by Sir Edward Burne-Jones. The city of Birmingham, England commissioned him to create the work celebrating the Nativity of Christ for their new museum and gallery in 1887. It is the largest watercolor created in the 19th C. We have captured it here on a round, glossy glass disk made especially for your tree. Place it in front of a Christmas light for a particularly striking effect.

Notice how the single, floating Angel of the Lord holds the Nativity Star in hand, descending to be close to the Newborn King. Guiding the Wise Men directly to the Savior, as if to confirm His majesty, the Angel pays homage along with the Three Kings.
