"I bought the Sterling Silver 28. 5x17. 75mm Oval Miraculous Medal 24" Necklace. First, please see attached photo's because this is the actual item that I received, which is a little different from what is shown on the website But, that is okay and no complaints. Plus, I like the item that I received. The metal has a nice weight to it and the chain is really nice. The chain is continuous, so there is no clasp to use. You just put the necklace over your head to put it on. The chain is really nice and doesn't get tangled. I had this item blessed by a priest from my parish. I wear this necklace day and night and only take it off when I take a shower. When I go to sleep, the necklace doesn't bother me at all because it is so nice and smooth, and you might actually forget that you have it on. I highly recommend getting this item. It's hard to find a sterling silver miraculous metal that comes with a good chain length and that is a nice quality. The following is from the Apparition of Saint Catherine Laboure: "There now formed around the Blessed Virgin a frame rather oval in shape on which were written in letters of gold these words: ' O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee. ' Then a voice said to me: ' Have a medal struck upon this model. All those who wear it, when it is blessed, will receive great graces especially if they wear it round the neck.
