This complete edition of the work, published in five volumes, was translated into English by the Fathers of the Dominican Province and first appeared in 1911.

All Christians should read these

"These books don't read like a ""summer vacation novel"" but St Thomas Aquinas's ""Summa Theologica"" in translation (English) is easy to read, understand, and deepen one's Catholic sense. He originally intended this work for any and all Christians who were without an advanced education. At times the logic is difficult but this will only disturb the PhD educated. I found these books an excellent source and foundation for my Catholic faith. I studied these works in parallel with my ""Catholic Catechism"" St Agustin's ""City of God"" and his ""Confessions"" along with my Catholic ""Bible"". To tell the truth Aquinas is easier to understand than Augustin. Nevertheless, all Catholics and all Christians should read the ""Summa"". Thank you Catholic Company for bringing these books to the public and common folk as originally intended by Aquinas. My only complaint is that a large print edition isn't available."
