The Seven Sorrows of Mary are beautifully remembered with this lovely necklace. The sterling silver center is an antique-reproduction medal of the heart pierced with seven swords, each representing the Blessed Mother's sorrows: The Prophecy of Simeon, The Flight into Egypt, The Loss of the Child Jesus in the Temple, Mary meeting Jesus as He carried His Cross, The Crucifixion, Mary receiving the Body of Jesus from the Cross, and Jesus' Body being placed in the tomb. Delicate sterling silver beads are linked on the 18" sterling chain, and placed on the necklace drop just above a small sterling cross. Designed and crafted by jewelers in the USA. "I will be honest. I expected the necklace to be a little heavier and a longer chain (it is closer to a 17 inch than an 18 inch). Also the cross is so minute. It is quite flimsy! Overall, I have to say that I was disappointed."

"I own this for about 2 years now & wherever I go I get compliments on this beautifully crafted necklace. The Lady of Seven Sorrows is my patron saint & this is the only place I could find something to represent her. I don't know how many people that asked me where to purchase this. You won't have any regrets with this beautiful piece. I only took it off when I had surgery. If you have any doubts, don't ~ it's well worth buying!"
