This cincture (cord) of St. Joseph is traditionally worn by the faithful in honor of Saint Joseph and for the following: chastity, special protection, final perseverance, and for assistance at the hour of death. The sturdy yet soft cotton cord is made to be worn underneath clothing. This special devotional has one end with a knot and. You must add the other six additional knots to make the seven knots. after the cord has been tied and falls at the waist. The seven knots are represent the Seven Sorrows and Seven Joys of St. Joseph. Instructional pamphlet included. This cincture has not been blessed by a Catholic priest.
